Unreal Engine Programmer- X360 (Sr – Mid Level Experience)

Role summary:

The Lead Software Engineer's primary roles will involve coordinating C++ internal development on an Unreal Engine based project with the intent of producing a quality game on a unique game. The oftware Engineer will be an essential element in the game's programming and the implementation of all gameplay related functionality. Candidates must possess potent "soft" and "hard" skills to drive the team toward the realization of the project's vision. Adept communication and prioritization skills are integral parts of this position.

Responsibilities (to include but not limited to):

  • Leading the direction of our internal C++ development, Unreal Scripting technology and all aspects of a game development cycle. As a programmer you will be key to the quality of the game's programming, and the player's experience.
  • Work with business, external design,art teams, and production team to drive the implementation of the project's technical vision
  • Implement gameplay-related functionality including Graphics enhancements, AI, PhysX, Kinect, Camera and general gameplay mechanics C++ and script
  • Experience with agile development and project management methodologies (i.e. Scrum, XP)
  • Desire/ability to work in a team environment
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with teammates
  • Passionate gamer and creative problem solver

Requirements:

  • B.S.(or higher) degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience
  • At least 2 years of experience in the games industry focused on software development specifically using the Unreal Engine
  • High proficiency with C++, Unreal Scripting Technology.
  • Posses knowledge or skills in the following Unreal Engine: PhysX, Camera, AI, Graphics, UI (Scaleform)
  • If you have programmed or used the Kinect technology from Microsoft that would be a key factor for us and having Unreal experience would be beneficial but not necessary.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A passion for games and technology
  • Must be legally authorized or able to obtain legal authorization to work in the US.
